Dual-phase steel (DP steel for short). Steel composed of two-phase structures of martensite, austenite or bainite and ferrite matrix. Generally, steel composed of ferrite and martensite phase structures is called dual-phase steel. Dual-phase steel is obtained by critical zone heat treatment or controlled rolling of low carbon steel or low alloy high strength steel.
